ANNOUNCING OUR MONTH-LONG BOOK DRIVE

HAVE TYLER PLAY JUST FOR YOU!

HERE’S HOW!

T. H. Books for Kids has received a special request from a friend of Tyler’s who works at a children’s hospital in northern California. We need your help! We want to buy them a new book cart and replace their worn out books.

Here’s the plan:

*Send donations made out to T.H. Books for Kids by
-check
-money order
-PayPal
-Amazon/Barnes and Noble/Borders gift cards
*Send new children’s books

Donations and books should be mailed to:
T. H. Books for Kids
P.O. Box 5381
La Quinta, CA 92248-5381

We’ll pool all your donations and present the new cart loaded with books to the hospital. We’ll put bookplates in each book to show that they came from T. H. Books for Kids.

Here’s what you can win (in addition to knowing that you helped Tyler provide books for the children):

1st prize
Tyler will do a special live webcast JUST FOR YOU! Of course, you may invite friends over to share it with them, if you wish. You will get to chat with him privately online and he will sing 3 of his songs which YOU get to select during your chat. You’ll also get a gift bag of Tyler merchandise.

2nd prize
You’ll get a personal phone call from Tyler. You’ll also get a gift bag of Tyler merchandise.

3rd prize
You’ll get a gift bag of Tyler merchandise.

THE PERSON WHO GETS THE MOST POINTS WINS!

*You get 1 point for every dollar you donate (for example, $50=50 points)

*You get 10 points for every new children’s book you donate which is written in English.

*You get 20 points for every new children’s book you donate which is written in Spanish, Chinese, or Russian.

In addition to the top three participants, EVERYONE who gets at least 20 points will receive a special edition bookmark signed by Tyler!

Any questions should be sent to:
thbooksforkids@aol.com

PLEASE JOIN TYLER IN GETTING BOOKS FOR THESE KIDS!

The contest ends on May 1!

ACT NOW!!!!!

Is there an age/reading level for the books? Do you want books for babies, toddlers, preteens, teens, young adults, or any and all?
Sounds like a great idea! I'm sure we can get them a ton of new books!

Also, any chance we can know the name of the children's hospital the books will be going to?

Thanks for the question!!!!
They are in need of books for all ages. They are especially looking for board books for infants/toddlers etc. However, they need books for all ages (including teens). They were really excited about possibly getting books in the languages requested because they have nothing for those children that come to the hospital that do not speak English. I checked out Amazon.com and found books in the languages listed.

We will provide all the information about the hospital at the end of the contest.

Hi everyone...

Ok...I have received several questions like this.

We have decided that you may send "like new" books and receive points for that. However, please make sure they appear new. This includes things like what you mention here...no dog ears, no markings of any kind, binding intact, etc.

Please remember we want to focus donations on the infants-teenage level. With a special request for books in languages listed.

If you have questions about this, please e-mail me at thbooksforkids@aol.com

THANKS!
I can't wait to start picking up packages at the post office!

Oh this is great! I take very good care of my books and I have a ton of books at the teenage level that just sit on my shelf. This is a great opportunity! Big Grin

It's not about how much money YOU have to donate!
God knows I don't have alot.

Raise money, collect books through school, family, friends. The worse that can happen is that they say "No."
But a least you tried right?!

You're very right about that. I've already ordered books, but I'm gonna ask friends as well!

well, if it's not something that you can do right now, you can always advertise the charity and advertise this project to other people who might be able to help this time. Go to friends and see if they'd be interested in donating. Ask local businesses if they'd like to donate....things like that. That will ALWAYS be a big help!

Ah man, my family is big on reading, so every once and awhile we have to clean out the books we don't read anymore... meaning this past December I just donated a lot of books to my local library. At least they're still be using for a good cause. I'll see what I can do still though.
