I played that private birthday party they were filming for MTV's "Sweet 16" last night...phew. There was so much going on I wasn't sure of anything. Our set got cut short, which, was probably fine 'cause there were so many people and so many things going on in the room I don't think most knew there was live music being played. It's weird when a party turns into a TV show set, you know? It's an experience, for sure. The birthday girl was sweet, though. I'm not sure if she knew my music. I feel like I was probably a suggestion from a friend...or cheaper then 50 Cent. All the same, lots of people did seem to like the show and I don't think there was too much drama, which, unfortunately, might be the doom of that episode ever airing. The new 16 year old, Amberly, was very nice so I think it was tough getting much drama from her or making her look like the spoiled brat birthday girl. Still, they set her up in some situations that might make her look bitchy for TV. Oh, is that how reality TV works?! All in all, interesting and a great hang with the band. The people were nice and I think that might have been my best version of "Happy Birthday" to date. ... Turns out I do birthdays! Let me know...

Man, that'd be awesome to have Tyler as a birthday present I wonder how much that would be (does a pondering look)

seems like a lot of people (especially on his myspace) think that tyler can really just stop by and play for their birthday parties. i don't think he meant that in literal sense.

you can't believe how many requests we are getting because of that statement.

I didn't even think "Sweet 16" was still on the air. Surprise to me.

I HATE this show.. seriously. I hope for the well being of rich people all around that they make those girls look more superficial fake self centered and bitchy than they really are. If not they are going to miss out on a lot of good things in the world.

^^ Totally agree! I have the new season TiVoing just incase Tyler's comes on. I just can't believe how spoiled these kids are. I don't care if I have all the money in the world, my daughter will be getting a POS Honda for her 16th...not a $96,000 jaguar.....screeeeeew that!!

I do not know, I imagine in all reality if I had all the money to spare I would still be like today and give my kids the best that I can/could. To me that is not the problem. It is the lack of morals values sympathy respect manners etc. Sometimes it is easier to take in and focus on what you are giving than what you are not giving. Like I said, I hope they make them appear worst than what they are. (I think they do too BUT I am a "the glass is half full" kinda girl)

What would be sad is if some of those families worked there way up from a less fortunate situation and the children do not understand that. Which I see very possible, because as an adult who has came from a harder spot who has worked hard to get where you are, you would either stresss to your children the hard work or shelter them from even knowing or understanding "not having".

I could go on and on and on with this kind of subject for hours and hours. I am one of those people who take in every available aspect and come out with a headache and no conclusion and answer questions with more questions. So I will shut up.

That reminded me of the episode with the two sisters of Indian descent. Obviously, they were first generation Americans as their parents still spoke with an accent. As a immigrant myself, I was proud to see that their parents have achieved the "American Dream" yet their daughters were so spoiled. They didn't care about how much anything cost, as long as they had their cars, planes, and whatever they can flaunt. Their parents obviously struggled to be accepted into this country, as my parents did.

But then again, it's also the parents' fault. My parents are fairly well off but they don't flaunt their wealth nor do they spoil me. I was taught to respect elders and be kind to everyone. Watching these spoiled chics getting whatever the hell they want is completely disgusting, although somewhat amusing.
