As many of you know, Tyler has a charity called T. H. Books for Kids through which he raises money to buy books for children who need them. Last year, with YOUR help, over $5100 was raised to purchase books for a New Orleans school devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

To help Tyler raise funds to get the books to the kids, T. H. Books for Kids offers several limited edition items. Like last year, when you donate to the charity, you receive them as a gift in return for your donation.

For a $27 donation, you get the new 2007 limited edition poster, offered only through the charity. Like last year, this one is being done by Sandra Gilmore, an artist friend and fan of Tyler’s. It will feature Tyler as a Santa (everybody together now…..awwwwwww). Your numbered poster will include the artist’s autograph as well as Tyler’s.

For a $6 donation, you get either the limited edition bookmark or button, also available only through the charity. (order as many as you like, just be sure to let us know how many of each gift you want....$12 could equal 1 button and 1 bookmark, $18 for 2 bookmarks and 1 button or 1 bookmark and 2 buttons...see how that works?)

The donation amounts include shipping and handling.

looks like prices have gone up up and up since last year.

The donation levels only went up $2 for the poster and $1 for the book mark to cover mailing costs. Last year, I paid those costs myself and am not able to do it this year.

Hope you still send in an order.

Last year, one week before the deadline we had about 40 posters ordered online...this year we have 6.....so I hope more people want to donate this week. BELIEVE ME...this is a great poster...a special holiday poster...

I know but just up'ing the prices that little bit might be causing more and more ppl not to donate.

Ultimately, a $3 price increase overall is not that much. It is not fair to stick Dana with all of the shipping costs, as I'm sure it really adds up.
Plus, the intrinsic motivation for this should be that the money is going to a good cause, not the reward you get for donating. I think it is a lot better to up the price of what is *technically* a gift for donating a specific amount than to take it out of what is going to the charity.
Just my opinion...

I totally agree, she souldn't be the one paying for that. but all i was saying was less people are donating.
