Really Big Steps

I'm changing the address on my Netflix account to Nashville. Big step, REALLY big. This act in itself says so much while saying so little. On the surface it might read as simple as I'd like to get the last few discs of "Band of Brothers" and other movies on my list delivered here so I can be entertained, but just under the superficial skin of something so simple lies a meaning as intense as, boy, you're gonna be here a while. Woa... Little things. I now have a grocery store here that I frequently visit. Another big step. I'm crossing over! Making the change! Saw people I knew out last night in town! That means I know people in town! I'm almost a local! I already know some local sounding trivia stuff like Nashville started as a fort, or something, in the Civil War. See?

Dave H. just let me have some of his Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Charles K. and I are getting lawn chairs in a sec and going outside to work on this tune we had in our heads since yesterday..."Lady Antebellum" guys are going to heaven.

My Netflix DVDs are going to Nashville. Big step….really big step.

Is it weird to say that I can totally relate to what Tyler is feeling right now? Maybe others on the board will understand...

Idk...I guess it just goes with the territory of being a college student in general - or maybe even a highschool student for that matter - it seems like that's so much of your life at this point...change, or as Tyler would say "big steps." I feel like I'm always making decisions that will ineveitably impact the path my life will lead...I have no idea if I'm making the right decision, but I have good hopes for the future. A mixture of feelings, really...excitement, nervousness, uncertainty, independence, growth...big steps...I totally get it.

I really enjoyed today's blog...maybe because I saw so much of myself within it...but yeah, thanks for sharing! Smile

"it started as a fort, or something, in the Civil War"
I see you are really learning that trivia Tyler....
....he sounds like Stephen Kellogg playing in Charlottesville last night: "I really like this city. It's a music city, you know? Named after King Charles' sister 'Elizabeth CHARLOTTE'. With a population of 4**,*** people. Home to the University of Virginia which was founded by Thomas Jefferson.....naw, I'm not really that smart, I just used Wikipedia to look up a bunch of facts"
haha
