Tyler..actor..still seems strange. (even though he was an actor long before I knew his name) I was introduced to him being a muscian before he was a human to me. (never mind)

I want to celebrate.. his acting somehow. whoo hoo. no really my way of celebrating would be to discuss. I have spoken about his skin hair tallness voice shoe size? (ok no I will skip that one) music guitar skills (and all that can lead to) Note to self: Stop being perverted Nicole!

How do you discuss acting besides 'whoa good job'? Hm like a cover? What acting role makes you think 'Tyler could have done that better than him'? Or what kinda role would you like to see him in? That work? I seriously want to see him in a horror movie but don't people say that ruins.. hm drama? Like emotional drama? I am not getting anywhere.

I would like to see Tyler in a movie about the war and be a soldier.. refer to note to self.

Okay, anyone have idea's?

Alright. So I've digressed from my essay topic and began rambling in my paragraphs. I figured what better place to digress than on THMB? We've got it down to a science anyway. Digression.

Well, I'm gonna keep this on topic though. Let's get this thread rolling. So to answer your question....

I will first and foremost always see Tyler Hilton as a musician. You know, the random fellow with a strapping sense of humor holding a guitar. The acting side of him is second.

I can't really compare Tyler's roles to other actors because what he has played in the past are all music related. It's hard to stray from his musician shadow considering he is a musician in real life. If he keeps playing roles that link to music, it'll sort of be like him plugging in his music and promoting it that way on TV/movies (ie: Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Music performers like Britney Spears, NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys guest starred in a few episodes as themselves -- and sang of course.)

Viewing Tyler as an actor first would take some time (for me) getting used to so we (I) could settle with that idea. But so far so good. Tyler's roles all have been exceptionally interesting. If he keeps heading the way he is with TV/movie roles, we'll all begin to see Tyler's music AND acting abilities naturally portrayed and blended in one through his public persona.

Can't wait to see what Tyler has in store for us with his character as Murphy in "Charlie Bartlett" coming out in April 2007.

^^I love this thread Nicole! And it's definitely weird to think of Tyler as an actor. I actually hear of him from One Tree Hill a couple years ago, but I've always known him as a musician. He's more well known as an actor I think because when I tell people who he is, that he's an amazing guitar player/singer/pianist, they're like huh? So I say, "The guy who played Elvis in Walk the Line and Chris Keller on One Tree Hill." It's different for other people because they probably see him as an actor/musician instead of musician/actor is they don't know him as well as us. It's very strange to think of him like this, but I also can't wait to see what dear Murphy Bivens has in store for all of us. I think a lot people will also see Tyler as more of a musician when his new CD comes out and plays on the radio and goes multi-platinum like I know it will! Again, great thread idea!
