yeah...i'm pretty sure its his car, but..anyone know what "i study up my hollow, piece of wood to follow" mean? i might be a dumb question...but i cant figure it out!
hooptie is a gansta term!..well not exactly...I think there's a thread on this from a while back
as for "I study up my hollow, piece of wood to follow"...those are like some of my favorite lyrics of his, 'cept I don't know exactly what it means...it's more on a subconscious level...like I get it...but then again I couldn't explain it to anybody...my sister tried to get me to explain it a while back...it's like a "the sky is blue" type thing you know, but you can't explain it...I dunno...maybe I just think I know, but I don't...I just love the way he uses words, you can take it however you want...nothing really has a book definition

ok...using that literal definition Erika(is that how you spell it) has soo graciously bestowed on us I'm going to say
he's thinking about what's missing in his life and he knows that if he doesn't follow his dream he'll never be happy and find the mental stability he longs for
he wrote this song when he finally decided that he wanted to be a musician as a profession soo it works...

I just wanted to comment on the "I study up my hollow piece of wood to follow a day that doesn't come to the lucky", I take "Hollow piece of wood" to mean his guitar... which he studies for a day when he'll become famous, which he might perhaps think is he a day that doesn't come to those who are lucky? ::shrugs:: that was my interpretation of it.

In response to "I study up my hollow...piece of wood to follow" I think that means he's learning to play his guitar and getting to be one with it? (since a guitar is a hollowed out piece of wood)

A hooptie is a really crappy car... and I have no idea what that other song lyric may mean...
Oh. Me and my friends refer to a really crappy car as a Loser Cruiser lol. I didn't know what a hooptie was either. That song makes a lot more sense now.

A big crappy car that, no matter how bad it runs and how terrible it looks, you still love no matter what. Even if your friends tell you its ugly and your parents beg you to let them buy you a new car.
...yeah. I love my hooptie!
