We're nixing (or is it nixxing, or nicksing?) the MTV.com exclusive journal idea. Hopefully we'll have all the journals up within the next few days. Do you guys want me to post it on Tyler's My Space or wait for Bob/Tyler to post it here on the THMB?

It's not - looking at the bigger picture it's more like because once more people visit Tyler's MTV artist page, MTV will notice and it will increase the chances Tyler will appear on the station!
Besides here on the internet - MTV, VH1, and radio - are all platforms that could reach new audiences and new fans. I think we all can agree that Tyler as an artist deserves more attention.
VH1, in my opinion, is a much more respectable music channel. Yes, MUSIC channel. Who has been playing Mayer, Mraz, Gavin, etc. for a long time? VH1. Then, on the other side, who freaks out and tells America that if they didn't vote (deeper meaning: if they didn't vote for Kerry), they would "die"? MTV. NOT cool in my opinion. Anyway, aside from that thing...back in the NSYNC days I was a huge MTV and TRL fan...but now? MTV isn't about the music anymore. Not saying it was back in 1999...but it's even worse now.
It's great that Tyler will be getting recognition on MTV because he DESERVES it, and I'm sure that it will bring a lot of fans...but is everyone sure that this will bring the right KIND of fans? Then again, I guess in this business...everyone involved wants to the end result to be $$$ - and MTV will get him that.
mtv is a tv channel not a station. they don't play videos much except for the middle of the night. more people going to his site on mtv won't affect what they play on tv.

Maybe he'll get the recognition of the insomniacs who watch MTV at 3am (you're right, the only time they DO play music videos, it seems)...and then will end up releasing "Insomnia" (appropriately) as his next single?...
I agree, like i said before, tyler and his music is too good for mtv. I really do love tyler's music and wish him all of the success, and he should be recognized, and deserves more and certainly better than MTV, i just don't think mtv is the way for that to happen.
Come on guys we have to get him out there without mtv... keep on promoting
That won't be as private and intimate...that's rather depressing. Maybe once Tyler gets famous he can post them here again. You should DEFFINATELY try and get Tyler onto Much Music in Canada...get him onto the show Much On Demand. They have A LOT of artists...semi-known and well known, who come on and either co-host the show or do interviews with a live studio audience. It's a great show, and Tyler would be a hit in Canada.
I agree, I'd love to see Ty on MUCH, especially on MOD.
