"The Holiday" and more and more.....and more
You know why I like "The Holiday" so much more now? Because the rest of the folks on the plane were watching this movie I'd already seen. And I loved it the first time. They were 20 minutes in and before I realized it I was also watching it again without headphones, yet still laughing so much so that I solicited a few looks from those around me. But it wasn't until I got over myself, donned headphones and committed to a second round with the film that I experienced more tears than I had the first time! And it's April! Why did I cry the first time even? I was on a plane then, too, and it's so weird to cry on a plane. You have to shield your face a little and you have to always be ready to hand the flight attendants your trash and whatnot so you can't just give in to looking devastated. Even devastatingly happy, such was the case at the end of the movie the first time. But here I am again, dabbing as I go this time. They fall in love in England! Tears! America! Tears! The old man! Tears! The two kids! Tears! I was recording late last night because it was my second and last day in the studio with the full band for a while. Or at least until we finish mixing these sessions, then move on. Anyway, my flight was at 6 am this morning, which meant alarm at 4am. Needless to say, not much sleep. And this is all just to say that I think my lack of sleep is the main cause for being so emotionally accessible on today's flight. The guy next to me is really nice. I had to wake him up twice to use the restroom and he was more then happy to oblige both times, Character. True Character. Guess who's going to be in NYC soon? Woo! Who's coming? Let's make "Charlie Bartlett" one of those crazy films that's, like, sold out every day of the festival. I'm going to go to every showing of it, if I can. Anton, Megan, and I think Mark will be there from the cast, along with Jon the director. But he's a looser and you wouldn't want to meet him. He smells... I hope he's not an avid reader of my columns here. Are they columns? Can they be? What's the difference between a column and a blog? He doesn't smell, unless it's like expensive cologne. I'm just using the last few minutes of this boring flight to say boring things and I needed someone to make unnecessary fun of and Jon's name got in my way. By the way, Delta, show more "Office" or show "The Holiday" again, please. Anything but HGTV! No!!!!! I'm in no state of mind to knock down walls and build a sun room! Let's do those instructionals another time. This flight has peanuts...they're coming back, folks! You can see the preview for "Charlie Bartlett" at www.charliebartlett-themovie.com so pass it along to your friends in case they were in the mood for a picture of just this sort and couldn't find one and were getting bummed about it until you came along and pointed them in the right direction! You may also want to know about www.tribecafilmfestival.org where you can purchase your tickets for the film. It's showing a few times, I believe, starting on May 1st. Check it out. I'll see you there. Do I have time to say one more thing in this blog or have I over done it? Actually, I'm not going to say it because it pertains to a gift for someone who probably does read these and doesn't know what I got them yet so I can't tell you about this adventure of mine just yet. Why not just delete this whole train of thought then, you ask? I don't know, I just. Don't. Know. One day when we can afford someone to edit my blogs, you will look back on these days of weeding through my poor grammar, fragments, and unnecessary thoughts and laugh and laugh....I do hope... THE SWEET END finally.... Tyler |

Ah another classic Tyler blog; they never cease to amuse me.
And my guess is either for Mgmt or someone else that is a family member or friend that lurks on the boards, but I could be completely off. ---Taylor M.--- 12/24/06 - Tyler Hilton called 02/17/07 - Met Andrew McMahon (Jack's Mannequin) 06/16/07 - Met Sherwood "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." - John Lennon |

I liked that blog
"The Holiday" is a great movie, I cried as well, at the very end, when Cameron Diaz (can't remember her character's name) succeeded in crying and went back to find Jude Law! Too cute! Plus the soundtrack is amazing! I have my little idea about who's going to get the gift... ^^ |
