We walked in to Warner Bros. Records yesterday to play a lunch time show for the staff. As we entered my dad and I watched the lobby TV tuned into a national news program reporting what I imagine was a lot of the same images most of you saw. One of the first things we thought about were Emily and Amy, the twins, the fans, the awesome artists who we have met on many occasions and the fact that they went to VA Tech. I know I'm late to all of your conversations on the boards today, but I wanted to tell you two how glad I am to hear you're both safe. I also want you to know how sorry I am about your friends who weren't as fortunate. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families.



All I'm left with when things like this happen is a need to explain them. It's an instinct that usually kicks in quick, but this time I'm having a harder time. How does this happen? Can anything even be done? What should I think? Should I think about it? They have the President trying to and explain it, FBI folks trying to define it, and on Sunday, spiritual leaders will have their own chance to console the masses. What I hope for all of you, I guess all of us, is that we aren't torturing ourselves with these questions for long and peace of mind comes somewhat quickly. There's nothing like the fear of hopelessness and the dread that it may lead to an eventual loss in hope of people in general. I'm just typing aloud here, I have no where to go and no final point. I'm not that far along in my own thoughts yet... Just wanted to say where I'm at for what it's worth. We're thinking of you, Virginia...

When I read this, I teared up. THIS is what makes him stand out from the rest of the artists. What a guy we have here.

I think it's absolutely incredible how tight-knit this Tyler Hilton fan community really is. I always knew it was, but after not taking part in it for so long, it just blows my mind to see how quickly everyone comes back to just share love and support. This place, Tyler and Bob, you are just beautiful.

Damnit for making me cry, ha. Well, I guess all I can say is I know it took a tradegy for me to get my ass back here, but I'm here now and I'm sticking around. I love you guys, man :[

I agree with Amanda too! Tyler and Mgmt are such sweethearts to think about Amy and Emily! Not every artist would have done that! Tyler fans are like a big family and I really mean it. A lot of people here are important to me even if I didn't meet them at all. And I think that's great to have a place where we can speak about anything, about our problems, what happens in our life. Tyler kinda makes us be more human. I know maybe it sounds weird... I'm so thankful I met such great people here! I'll keep Amy, Emily, all the students of VT, family and friends of the victims in my prayers... I just can't stop thinking about this tragedy.

Amy and Emily, you guys have got my thoughts. Man, I ♥ ya'll! And know this, I sound really stupid when I try to slip in the occasional "ya'll" into conversations but you guys are all so awesome! When I read this, I remembered what it was about Ty that made me turn to jelly every time I listen to him. He's just so genuinely sweet and awesome (for a lack of a better word). Him, Bob and everyone at THMB, you guys are amazing

I'll say it plain and simple... we're a family here at THMB. Each and everyone of us are like siblings, sometimes others take on the roles of parents. We stick together... yes blood is thicker than water, but who could have chosen a better 'water' family?

I have to say this is what makes a true musician, not how large their fanbase is, but how large their compassion for their fans and I have to say Tyler is one of the most compassionate musicians I've come across over the years. It's the small things like this that makes me respect him more.

I just can't say enough how lucky I think all of us are to have this place. No, we don't know everyone on here and we certainly haven't met anyone but when something like this happens, we're all able to come together and support one naother and that's what matters. We'd all do the same thing for everyone on here so I know you all will have my back, and I got yours.

These message boards never cease to amaze me! Everyone on here is awesome...I can't believe what a family everyone here is. Tyler....you're INCREDIBLE, and this is why we all love you so much!!! As hard as an event like this is to deal with, it is unbelievable to see how people really come together in the face of tragedy and suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this horrific event!
