Okay today my friends and I got in a debate how you would classify Tyler Hilton's music. The debate all started when I asked my friends why they don't like Tyler one said that his my music was too country. I always thought his music was either pop or alternative rock or acoustic rock...what do you guys think?

Oh and my other friends suck because they don't like Tyler because of Chris Keller--I guess they blurred the lines between reality and acting.

I would have to say that he is a little bit of each, but he's definately not TOO country. I personally not really into Country but I LOVE TYER's Music.

Yea some people don't like him because he "was" Chris Keller. But he only "Played" Chris Keller and he is like the opposite of C.K except for the fact that they are both extremly hilarious.

I remember reading somewhere that Tyler classified his music as "folk rock," when he was asked during an interview.

I would say he's mainly pop with a bit of acoustic rock - but some of his songs do sound country or least country-inspired. I've had this conversation with several people actually. I don't think his music is the twangy country sound, but it does borderline the pop/modern country music line that a lot of artists do nowadays.

yeah people are retarted when it comes to tyler and chris one girl was like you met him and i was like and she was he a jerk i was like no he was really nice and kewl and she was like his seem tho be jerk and i was like how so and she was like he ruined nathen and haleys marrige and i was laughing at her i was like its calles acting.

Probably, poprock/acoustic? I don't know. I guess when you can't classify them, they've made their own sound. That's a good thing right?

In an old interview Tyler said something about his music being "folk pop". I'd say that's pretty acurate for the Indie album and a lot of his unrealeased stuff. I wouldn't exactly say that "The Tracks Of" is folk though. I think it depends which Tyler you are talking about. I'd say that "The Tracks Of" is more pop/rock, but that live/indie Tyler is more folk/pop/acoustic.

But yeah he's pretty versatile so it's hard to classify his music.

I would say that is a good thing...I mean that means his music is unique and it doesn't blend in like all those other pop groups like: BSB & N'SYNC; Britney, Christina & Jessica...they always sound so much alike. At least he can say hey "Nobody sounds like me because I'm unique."

Yep that's why I Love Tyler's music because it is unique. It's not like the everyday same ol' music.

I don't know what kind of category Tyler would go under. I've heard that he sounds pop and country but I've never really considered him either. I guess his music's just...Tyler music. There's not many ways to describe it. The best way that I could put his music in words is Coffee House music. Very acoustic and the meaning of his music I would say is like a little pop/rock. His music doesn't really go under just one music type.

When people ask me, I tell them he is acoustic/bluesy/jazzy/snazzy/country/pop/and razz-ma-tazzy....

I never really thought about what it would be considered...stores consider it pop....when I think of pop though I think of like Hilary Duff.......when people ask what type of music he is I am just like...it's Tyler Hilton...haha...he has his own little genre. Haha.

Ive seen him classified as all of those. I was just looking at Tyler ringtones and they had it classified as country and ive also seen him classified as pop and rock.

Id says hes like acoustic pop/rock

I think he definitely has a little bit of blues to his voice.

Folk/pop is pretty accurate for songs like Rolling Home, etc.
Acoustic pop works for most of the songs, though.

My friends and I call it Sissy rock.

When somebody ask me about what kind of music Tyler does,I say folk-pop acoustic with a rock influence.

Yeah, so when people ask me what kind of music he plays I'm just like.. eh, I don't really know how to explain it, so then I name off people that kind of sound remotely like his type. ha
