Have u guys heard Jamie Cullum. Well if u haven't i really recommend u to. He's this jazzy singer/songwriter with a very particular touch. His voice is just really cool. Most of the songs on his cd Twentysomething are covers, but there's also stuff of his own that turs out to be quite nice. I just love his cover on Buckley's "Lover, u Should Have Come Over". So yeah, go check him out if u have the time www.jamiecullum.com

I LOVE Jamie Cullum. I heard just a small part of one of his songs and then bought his Album. And yea, most of his songs are covers, but then there are also songs written by him and his brother. He even covered Pharrel from N.E.R.D's "Frontin'" and does an amazing job. He plays the piano very well.

Do check out Jamie Cullum! He's amazing, and adorable. His video for "All at Sea" is on VH1's Top 20 Countdown, and I THINK it's number 16, but I could be wrong...
His site hasn't been updated with new tour dates, but Pollstar updates frequently. So far there are only 2 US dates scheduled, and lucky for me, they're both near me. But keep checking back, and make sure to catch Jamie live! Smile

I love those two tracks, the whole album is amazing. My fave is probably either "High and Dry" or "Twentysomething". I love the line 'I'm an expert on Shakespeare, and thats a helluva lot. But the world don't need scholars as much as I thought". Thats a great song! I also love the "Frontin'" cover Smile

just wanted to say i saw him in concert last week and he was AWESOME!

here's a snippet of what i thought...

WOW! we were close, he stood less than a metre away from me at times...excitement! he started with his cover of "frontin" which really got the crowd going! in general the crowd participation and energy was infectious! so was jamie's energetic and at times rock'n'roll performance! after frontin he the welcome etc, that he likes watching Neighbours and that it's not often jazz is played to a standing crowd...true! and there were people of all ages there!

he did the trademark foot-plonk-keys during i get a kick out of you & even BUMMED the keys during 'wind cries mary'!!! OMG! he really gets into it! he also drums the piano with his bare hands...practically every single inch of the piano inside and out! totally inspiring! except i dont think my parents would really appreciate it if i did that to our piano Razz

he even jumped onto the piano a few times (with his cowboy boots might i add! see above photo) and jumped off...stuffed it up once so he's like "you didn't see that" then gets up and does it again...jumping over the mic stand that he'd knocked over while he was getting into things...he knocked that over a few times actually...rock'n'roll style Wink also knocked over his piano stool once too! lol!

at times he would sing without his mic, cupping his hands to project his voice and it was beautiful! he would go from one side of the stage to the other...louder when he passed the mic which was funny as! he got the crowd choir going by splitting us into three groups for singing in the rain...he said it should work because it did in sydney and it did for most part Smile

btw, as mentioned we were close, so close that i had jamie spit on my face once...lol! anyways at one stage jamie jumped off stage and got onto the bar to sing! lol! now that's what i call entertainment!
