I'm going to their show Tuesday at Hard Rock live for an mtv taping. I'll try to get close so you guys can see me rockin out on tv. I've never seen them before so I'm really looking forward to it.
yes, it is true it sold out that fast. I arrived at hard rock box office at 10:15 am and was lucky to get tix. (I went there b/c it was $14 at the box office and over $20 online and I bought 5 tix - so it adds up) The lady looked worried at the box office that there wouldnt be any tix left and she was like i'm not sure if i have any left hold on. this kid even let us go in line in front of him b/c he already bought them and was buying tix for another show too. so then i get back to my apt and log on to ebay and there are 2 pages full of people selling tix - they arent even from florida and all bought the max of 10 tix per credit card. So since then there has still been a lot of weezer tix on ebay. damn scalpers.
Weezer rocked out. I got there right on time, as usual, around 8:55 for the 9pm show. the floor was jam packed like insane so i opted for the side out of tv range. i love it on the sides b/c it is elevated and you can actually move w/o being sandwiched in a sea of people. they played a little over an hour i would say 1hr. 15 min. set. they had to redo 'beverly hills' which i figured they would have to b/c the first time the ladys mic was turned up too high for her part and the bass was turned up too loud, drowning out the words. my favs were probably El Scorcho and Buddy Holly, those songs remind me of middle school- oh wait that dates me on these boards. (along w/ no doubts 'tragic kindom' i listened to that a lot then too) nothing like the good oldies.
it will air on mtv sept. 7th at 8pm.
