After months of speculation and rumor, the Kids are coming back. A well-placed source tells PEOPLE exclusively that New Kids On The Block are indeed getting back together.

The band's Web site, www.nkotb.com, which had been dormant, is now back up and running in anticipation of the official announcement, which the source says will be made in the next few weeks.

The site currently features a television graphic with a fuzzy, flickering photos of NKOTB in their heyday, and a link inviting fans to sign up for info.

The boy band, which made legions of tweens swoon in the early '90s, selling more than 50 million albums, became a worldwide phenomenon before calling it quits in 1994.

Eighteen years later, they're still "Hangin' Tough." The oldest "Kid," Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year. Since the band's demise, former members Donnie Wahlberg, 38, and Joey McIntyre, 35, have seen acting success, while Danny Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Knight's brother, Jordan, 37, has continued to record.

Hey now, I don't know about all of you, but this is kind of exciting! I grew up on them and I totally had NKOTB mania! Haha...and my bestest friend in the whole world is right there with me on them! I would totally go to a show if they have one! But I think now it would mostly be to see how the "old men" can pull it off. Haha.

I had Jordan but I wanted Joey:[ And my arch enemy got Joey and she didn't even like him! That epic 1990 battle began the era of our war through to Highschool. lmao.

I am def excited! I hope they will still rock those AWESOME dance moves..haha.

I actually saw them last friday!

I was really little when they were out. My sister's used to love them. When I was about 13 or 14 I think I got their greatest hit's cd and I really liked it. I'm glad they are back. It will be interesting to see what they sound like and to see them dancing again and singing again in concert since it has been so long since they have done that.

my bestie and I are going to go up to the Today show when they play, and I just got zootopia tickets (well not just, 20 minutes ago) so we're going to see them there too!! I think we've decided this will leave us content and we won't have to try to go to the regular tour...

on a slightly different note, since we're going up to them on the Today show, that means we get to go to curtis too (but not before a nice long nap at the hotel)

I can't wait for them to announce European dates... my evil mother wouldn't let me go see them last time round!!

my bestie got us VIP 5 star tickets for the DC show, we're kinda excited, I'm not so much about the price, b/c I dunno how much money I can give her, but she's being really understanding since she knows I lost a hefty sum when I couldn't resell 2 zootopia tickets :-/

There are tickets online for $1000 for floor level seats. The prices are nuts. Thankfully I know someone who works at ticketmaster..I am definitely going to one of the shows!

I will be in Oklahoma when they come to LA, but I think I might fly in so me and my bestie can go together. They won't be in LA until October, so I still have some time. I always said, even in high school, that they would reunite and it would be great!

yeah the VIP includes a M&G and photo op. No autographs though :-\. Rumor also is that they're "group" photos, meaning we could have other people besides my friend and I and the guys in our picture. Which we're not pressed about, a picture is a picture and you can put smiley faces over the people you don't know. A group of DC VIP people are going to start gettin' together for drinks etc throughout the summer up to the show in Oct so we can get to know each other too. That way it's not as weird if there are other people in our pictures

Hopefully you don't have to do a group Meet and Greet Picture. That's great you will be at the first show at Boston. You will have to tell all about it. I love there video for Summertime.

Did anyone else pick up their album today? I really like a bunch of the songs and I can't wait to see them live again.
