His acoustic shows on Monday were GREAT!!!! My favorite Matty show(s) to date.

Who's going to his shows opening for P!nk?? They should be interesting...I haven't seen him as an opener in over 2 years. I'm going to the 9:30 one as long as it doesn't sell out within the next few days.

he's opening for pink? ha. thats funny. I love matt and all but dont like her. No way I would spend money on that. I saw Matt like 2 times at different malls in orlando for free and at the social.

hey guys,

i came in here to see if anyone had mentioned Matt cause i knew you guys have really good taste in music (and usually know about things FIRST). glad to see youve been talking about him for a while now. i wasnt familiar with his music til today when i found out he's opening for Pink.

im going to a couple of her shows so i wanted to see who this clown was opening for her (j/k) :-)

i wanted to say that if you havent seen pink live before on her OWN headlining show (radio shows do not count) and youve ONLY seen her on mtv or heard a few songs or whatever, you would be VERY VERY surprised to see how amazing she is live. id have to say she's one of the best performers ive ever seen live, and her show is in my top 3.

add that to the fact that she's playing smaller venues this time around (on purpose), i cant wait. i hope that some of you who are fans of Matt will go to these shows and stick around for her because i guarantee you, you WILL be changed when you walk out:-)

if you think im exagerating, just take the Pink taste test (hmm...) and go see her show in the next few weeks.

her shows are nothing like her mtv appearances...theyre nothing like her videos...or the pop singles shes forced to have on the radio so that she can do her real art live.

ok i wont push it anymore...if you see her this summer, she will definitely speak for herself. anyone going to the l.a. show or houston show?

I want to see him at Avalon but it's over 40$ a ticket with service charges so it's a no go to see him play 6 songs. I haven't seen him in foreveeer

That sucks about the $40. The tickets here are only $25, which is still more than I'm used to paying, but I think this show will be worth it. When he came here with Tori Amos a while back it was really expensive, and I didn't go.

But yeah the fact that this is at the best club in the country is a major plus.

Well you may be right Arlan. All I know is Pink's singles and I dont like any of them. She may be good live, I dont know. All I know is that I've seen Matt play full or extended sets for free or $10. I would be paying $25+ service fees to see him play 6 songs and he is the one I would be going to show for.

Here is a concert of his I downloaded recently.. I love all the songs but Laid, Answering Machine, Starfish & coffee, and Prove to Me are my favs.

I'm going to the show with Pink...I always knew my sister listening to pop music would be good for something eventually It's an all ages show which is kind of...not thrilling. But if all else fails, and we don't like Pink, after Matty it'll be interesting to people-watch.

What I really can't wait for is his performance at ACL

Matt news.. Cd titled 'some mad hope' out Aug. 14th. woohoo! His first single will be 'car crash' which I love.. can't wait to see matty in town again.. On an unrelated note..gavin degraws cd is pushed back and now no release date..will it ever come out..

new song "Gone" is up on his myspace! it's awesome. can't wait for the new cd!

Oh the amusement of my last post here...I'm afraid the only glorious moment of that evening was Matt indeed...
