Woo hoo. All bands mentioned in this thread are great. Here's a list of random memories that randomly popped into my head of as a result of this thread.
And now for a trip down memory lane...
Melee's great. I haven't listened to them in quite a while, but I remember they used to have sweatshirts (not sure if they still sell them anymore) that said "Let's not meet by accseadent " with a big sea serpent on it. I always thought that was the strangest thing. It took me a while to finally get it. (Quite clever I guess...in a cheesy clever sort of way).
Oh, Jeffries Fan Club. I remember I really wanted to go to their last show...and was really bummed out when I couldn't make it.
And as for Big City Rock, yet another awesome band. I think they opened for Maroon 5 last fall? Anyway, I saw them open for Rooney a few years ago at the Palace. The whole time my friend and I were freaking out, because supposedly the Palace is haunted. We were in the lobby buying merch at the beginning of Rooney's set (we wanted to avoid the mad after-show-merch-mob--it was virtually empty at the time) and wandered over to the BCR merch table, where we chatted with the merch guy about the supposed haunted-ness of the building, and how we would let each other know if we noticed anything paranormal. We realized halfway into our conversation that the merch guy was actually the drummer.
I saw them open for The Early November and they were amazzziiinnnggg!!! Usually if I don't actually go to a concert to see the opener...I'm not usually impressed (with the exception of Tony Lucca and Pete Nischt ) But these guys DEFINATELY impressed me to say the least!
I have been listening to their CD non-stop since the concert...definately worth the 10 bucks

I didn't know there was a post about them. I found them on the radio station's website that I listened to and they were part of the new discover music and I have been a fan ever since I first listened to there music.
