I don't know if anyone has ever heard of Jon McLaughlin, but if you haven't, you should check him out at www.jonmclaughlinmusic.com

His music is amazing! The website allows you to preview a few of his tracks, but to be honest, I bought his CD after hearing the first one. The entire CD is great. It's one of those 'no-skip' albums. Jon's from Indiana and most of his shows are in that area, but check him out even if you're not from that area....maybe you can get him to come to your area too!

I reallly like him. I heard about him a while ago from someone on some other boards. I've wanted his CD but I need my money for other stuff. haha

People, you should check this guy out! He has an awesome voice and is going to start touring pretty soon and would love support!

I discovered him a while ago and I absolutely love his music... But I heard he was a little bit stupid. But if he makes good music that's good to me! I cannot believe, I didn't see this thread before...

stupid? how so? Both times I've seen him he's seemed like one of the sweetest, most adorable, kind, caring people. Not to mention his wife is just as cute as a button!

Oh, and if you watched the video that's on his website (music vid for Industry) pay attention to how he plays the piano. He is absolutely the BEST piano player i have EVER EVER EVER seen. The video doesn't do half justice to show how he plays. I think Amy *may* have gotten a video of him last night...maybe? Anyways, I think he moves his fans faster than I can move mine even not playing the piano. I don't know how he moves them that fast....and is that accurate.....and sings at the same time.....it's just unreal. I would go to a concert and not listen to a thing, just to see his hands move....it's unreal

hmmm....other artists......hmmm.....Ben Jelen, if you haven't heard of him yet. He's actually how I first heard of Tyler. I've been keeping up with him for several years now....but I think he's been brought up around here for a little bit though b/c Tyler just played a show with him not too long ago


um, well, there are very few that I will speak super highly of like these guys, but I know a lot of really good artists.....I try to reserve my "really really really check this person outs' for people that I'm super duper passionate about...that way people will, hopefully, continue to trust my musical taste

I did get good Jon McLaughlin video last night(as well as a little Matt Wertz and Stephen Kellogg). I'll upload it to youtube sometime later I'm sure. I've been up since before 5 this morning though, so It'll probably take me a while.

Yes, definetely check out Ben Jelen. He is amazing. And check out Joey DeGraw as well.

ahhh Cris, you are so lucky you get to see him! He's amazing live! And, he plays the keys for Matt Wertz and does background vocals for him (for this tour) as well.
I wish I could play the piano like that....but honestly, it looks great in the videos but it's much more amazing live. He's soooo intent and into it....and dedicated! And if his wife is selling merch for him.....well, she's just adorable!
