anyone ever heard of em?

I dare ask this question, cuz I dont have the slightest idea as to what Sigur Ros is singing about, being all foreign and such and was wondering is someone could translate for me. No? okay

actually I'm just asking cuz Sigur Ros is so different from the other artists mentioned in this section of the board.

Sigur Ros is one of Tyler's favorite bands. According to him the live show was unbeleivable.
They don't sing real words, even in another language.

They have an awesome sound. They are totally about the music, they're 2nd album doesn't even have a title or song titles. I've never seen them live but I've heard it's absolutly amazing.

Sigur Ros makes me want to lie there in bed and just fall asleep, even on a hot sunny sweaty day AND after going to the gym and washing the car. I heard about Sigur Ros when my friend sent me their song and made me listen to it, I was hesitant since it was on the VANILA SKY soundtrack (apparently that movie was just so-so?)

see I wouldnt know if it were real words or not, man. It's in a nother language anyhow. All I know is that their from Iceland. Pretty Neat. I'm originally from Hong Kong. (thought I'd throw a piece of info on myself) OH and I thought Sigur Ros was just a one-man show, just so you know.

who said you had to understand songs to appreciate/admire it. It's the feeling that you get out of it.

Just for your information Queenie. It's a made up language. NOt real. They call it "Hopelandic" I believe. It's just gibberish words. But they feel that conveys the emotion better than real words... I think its kinda funny actually, even though I think Sigur Ros is just a genius band Smile

language or no language. its fun.

it makes sense now that you bring that to my attention...no one said songs had to have words to make it relate-able.

good thinking sigur ros.

Wow! Never heard of these guys until now, this is amazing stuff. I agree, the lack of real words doesn't matter. Thanks for the intro to this great band.
