I'm seeing Mandy on the 27th. Hopefully it doesn't sell out (although, I don't really think it would) because I'm planning on getting my ticket at the door.

A friend of mine saw her in Houston last week, I believe, and she said there were maybe 100 people there - it was pretty much empty. She also said that after the show, her and three other people went out to the bus and stood in the rain hoping to get a chance to talk to her. Apparently Mandy went around the back way or something, in order to avoid the massive crowd of four fans.

What's most saddening about this story is that Steph & Mandy used to be friends, and she'd see Mandy whenever she was in town. Well, the 27th is going to be the first time Mandy's been here in 6 years, and I'm not going to get my hopes up for it to be like it used to be. I know I won't be getting an email or call the night before saying, "Hey, your ticket is at will call." I sent her a message on Facebook quite a while ago, but didn't expect a reply...and of course, I didn't get one. It's going to be really hard to see her after all these years, especially knowing that she probably won't even give me the time of day...or even remember that she's in my city, and that I'll obviously be there.

That's awesome that you were able to meet her!

How big of a crowd was at your show?

hmmm... there was probably about 100 people. maby 150. there wasnt that much. but what really bugged me how this guy liked walked away from where she was signing autographs for a bit and said that shes a bi***. I was like how can you even say that! shes far from one. I mean if she takes time to sign, encore after doing a show 5 days in a row, talk to my friend on the phone for about 2 1/2 minutes, personally sign and take a picture with her poster for a mentially challenged girl who is a fan and being excited about it. You hear bad stories and good but all i have heard was good from her band, she was so happy to sign autographs afterwards, she was laughing and having a good time. I wouldnt even say that shes close to one. Yeah, i mean she doesnt have time to get to everyone but shes been doing concerts in a row with no break, the girl is tired, give her a break. People dont get that. obviously not that guy.

I hope you get to meet her sara! You will have an amazing time at the concert, im going to post pictures when i get back from school today for you all.

How was Rachael Yamagata(the opener)? Do you remember how long her set was? The tour is near me tonight, and I really want to go to see Rachael Yamagata open, but tickets prices are a little high for me to pay if Rachael only has a short set.

My friend who saw her in Houston said that she did a lame pre-show meet & greet and took one group picture, and didn't sign any autographs after the show. Maybe Mandy was just having a bad day or something. I don't know, it's just a weird situation for the group of us that used to be tight with Mandy. We know that it will never go back to how it used to be, but we never thought she'd completely blow any of us off. I mean, maybe if she knew that Stephanie was there, it would have been different, but we don't even know that. I guess I'll find out in two weeks.

aww im sorry to hear that about your friend. Im hoping she does remember you and your friends. Only at some shows she does the whole meeting fans depending on how tired she is or if she doesnt feel too well is what dan was telling me. But she does love meeting the fans. Where are you seeing her at?

I really want to go to the show this Saturday in Madison Wi. But it's also my cousin's 21st birthday. And I don't even know of anyone that would want to go. So I don't think I'm going to be able to go. I wish it was a different night.

The show was amazing. Depressing, but amazing. But no matter how disappointed I am in her, I can't help but be so proud of her at the same time.

In case it got lost somewhere along the road, Mandy used to be one of my really good friends and we haven't talked since 2002 (everything started to change after 'A Walk To Remember' came out). She hadn't been to Minnesota since 2001, so that's why I was really hoping I could at least say hi and tell her how much I missed her, and how proud I am of everything she's accomplished. I just wanted her to know that even though she may have forgotten about us (referring to a group of girls and myself who all became really good friends through Mandy), we will never forget about, or stop supporting, her.

So it was far more than just not "meeting" her. And I'm really, really sad.

Fine Line – Minneapolis, MN

I love a matinee (an afternoon show), an evening show, a late show, and an afterparty. It's an action packed day for us but first, BTW would like to welcome Ben Lee (an incredibly fun singer/songwriter from Australia who will be out with us for a week or so) to our traveling circus. He and his buddy Nick Johns made some beautiful music tonight. Chris Stills killed it as usual. Thanks to the fans of Minneapolis, we all had a great show. After our performance, we hightailed over to the State Theater to catch Ryan Adams (Singer/songwriter formerly of the band Whiskeytown). After a hang with Ryan (the guy who was singing at the State Theater) and the Cardinals (the band that was on stage performing with Ryan), it was time to dance to the grooves of MC-Grand-Mix-Master-DJ AM over at Aqua. Thank you Adam for makin' us move and taking good care of us. And just when you thought our night was over, we had our inaugural Short Bus Dance Party (Dance party on tour bus limited to the front lounge only, as invented by John Mayer). We danced until dawn, or at least until there were too many complaints, and then came the cops and pizza.

Nacho,
Kenny Bloggins
thats after the mn show. that explains why mandy wasn't there afterwards to sign. but i wish she was.
