I'm terrible. I've yet to purchase the CD! I'm doing that tomorrow though, I promise! I've been trying to figure out which would benefit him more (buying the CD in the store vs. buying directly from him). He said either way was fine but the store would be more fun. I wouldn't want to miss out on the fun, so I'm going to get it at Borders tomorrow before work.

I haven't bought it either! I wanted to buy it at his show in NY but I ended up not going, so I have to get on that.

I called about 3 Borders here in San Diego and they either have it but someone's got it on hold, they don't have any more copies, or they're going to get copies in the future. I'm gonna try Best Buy.

after checking Best Buy, Borders & Barnes & Noble online for store stock (and finding nothing) I was at the mall so for S&G's I thought I'd pop into FYE to see if they had it, and they did (but when Carney's EP came out, they didn't and when I "reserved" it at another one, it took 3 months to come in), so maybe try there too (if you have one)since they had it, I bought the one copy they had, and then bought the others I needed (for my bestie and one for my niece) at the show

I know! I couldn't find it anywhere around here except an FYE store.

So I was going to go to Curtis' free show in Orange, but DUH!I need to learn how to read dates! Today is 9/4 not 9/3...oppsy.

I finally bought it.

Though, I feel a bit ripped off, haha. I didn't even bother looking at an FYE. It didn't cross my mind! But anyway, I went to Borders, fully aware they didn't have the CD in stock. So I still checked just to be sure because sometimes the employees don't really look. Seriously though, I called every Borders in San Diego and I was on hold for a collected amount of 45 minutes total.

Long story short, a nice guy who worked at Borders offered to burn me the CD instead. Not for free, they actually do burn CDs of other musicians if the CD is not in stock and they charge you for it like a regular CD. He told me that Borders has the right to do that with any artist who chooses to sell with them. It comes with an album cover, too. The only downfall is that it's without the booklet (which is important to me). Plus, I know it's not the actual CD and that it's burned so the value for it sorta plummeted, haha. So in a way, it's like if I had a great burning program on my computer, I could've done exactly that for the price of free.

I texted Curtis what happened earlier and he said he wants to sign it because it's "definitely one of a kind." I guess that's the upside to it. Other than that, if I could have it, I'd rather just get it directly from Curtis next time... haha.

wow mk i didn't know that borders did that. sort of weird to me. foreign even. i like the booklet with the cd too. i got mine at his la show. signed for moms and uploaded to my ipod - physical cd will be going to mom.
i herd from a friend that he got the album on itunes. he's only seen/heard cp once !

Yesterday I was at the music store in Paris Champs Elysees and found Curtis' album! I was sooo surprised!
So I bought it haha but didn't have the time to listen to it yet...

That's awesome Clara! Very cool! You should definitely write Curtis a message and tell him that! He'd love it!
