anyone applyign early action or decision anywhere? my school's being really stupid and making us turn in our envelopes by this friday if we want to do early anywhere so i stayed up until 1 last night trying to figure out my options.

apparnatly my dad set aside 1000 dollars for my apps. how crazy is that

i'm leaving tomorrow to look at a few schools in north & south carolina. and i believe i'm applying early action for a few... i have to have all my stuff into my school by oct. 13th

If you're looking for scholarship money from the school, I wouldn't do early decision (unless it's nonbinding). Why would the college give someone money who has already promised to go there? Also, you never know when you'll find a better school.

The only good thing about early decision is that you don't have to stress about where you are going to go to school your entire Senior year. I went for early decision, but I wasn't stressing over scholarships (b/c I had the prepaid college program) so I didn't matter to me.

yeah i'm not doing early decision. i'm doing early action though. why not know earlier? and since michigan's rolling, i should get my apps in earlier. does rolling mean it's first come first serve?

U of M? or Michigan State? Because if it is U of M, I recommend early action. It's a tough school to get into the Ann Arbor campus and the earlier you apply, the better!! Good luck!! It's an awesome school!!!!

U of M ann arbor although i wouldn't be too devestated if i didn't get in though. my parents are making me apply to 10 schools . THAT'S TOO MANY ESSAYS TO WRITE!

wow, 10 schools - that's crazy.

I applied to one and I got in and then I transferred the following year. Once you start a college, you can pretty much transfer anywhere if you keep your grades high.

all i know is if you have your heart set on somewhere, apply early decision so if you get deferred, you can still apply.

just sayin'.

I'm hoping to have all my applications finished by the end of Oct or mid Nov. I want it all to be over with so I know what school I'm going to by Christmas.

So far it looks like i only need to write one essay and can use that one for all 4 schools!!

mount saint mary's in maryland? i've passed through there on the way to pennsylvania and stuff. it's nice...just a bit in the middle of nowhere. and lucky you for only writing 4 essays. I'm doing 10 schools so uva, umcp, unc chapel hill, umich all need their own essays and emory, vanderbilt, lehigh, st mary, boston college, and william and mary all need supplements on top of the common app. i'm gonna die!

and btw...what did everyone think of the sat's today?

Ooh...pretty prestigious schools! Come to UVA and W&M! I have friends that go to both! (Not to mention I live 20 minutes from C'ville) I'm at VT....so if you go anywhere in VA, you'll have to come down and party it up!

haha...i'm so not getting into most of them but i'm definitely gonna go down to uva sometime this spring. i have some friends down there but of course i'll come visit you and amy. and hopefully tyler will be there too! i need to meet that guy =P

I applied to U of M already! It's crazy- college is all anyone talks about this year! Yea, I'm applying early action but no early decision b/c I don't know where I want to go yet!

gah, im so stressed out with everything.. im graduating in january so i cant decdide if i want to start college then or wait to the fall.. any advice but i found the perfect college for me.. Bay State in boston it has Entertainment Management which is exactly waht i wantt to do.. i want to be a personal assistant or manager go on tour that type of thing and ive been working with one of the administers so we can figure out what i should do if i should go to a community college and then transfer or what not but i really want to get into this college!

hey lol i took the sat's on the 8th!!!! and im canadian...and im not planning on going to school in the u.s. ...so i guess i just took them for fun lol which is nerdy but uhhh...i dont know i always wanted to know what id get

anyways for those canadians out there who know what universities these are the following are where im applying to: waterloo, carleton, u of t, ryerson, and queens...all for architecture except queens for fine arts because they only take 30 and i wanna see if id get in lol

but yeah...waterloo is my #1

I go to East Carolina in Greenville, NC. I would HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone. It's the best decision of my life coming here. You'll get a good decision, and its a good school, but it's not too hard to get into. So, if you have really good grades you'll get a good scholarship. I'd also reccommend it to anyone who is out of state that is looking at NC schools. It's a decent sized campus, a lot of stuff to do on the weekends, great downtown, lots of school spirit with the football games.

holy crap. that's a lot, but good luck with that! i know a toooon of people at unc chapel hill. my friend will be applying to bc and uva.

i still have no idea. but am a junior, so i have time.
