I believe you fill out the FAFSA for the years you will be in college. So if you are a senior this year and graduating next May 2006...then I am almost certain that you need the 2006-2007 FASFA...that will be the years that you are a Freshman in college. I could be wrong though b/c I filled that thing out many years ago...
You would fill out the 2006-2007 form. You won't be able to fully complete it until after the 2005 W2s from your employers and your parent's employers are recieved because it's based on yours and theirs income. Most colleges recommend getting your FAFSA in by March to receive the best financial aid package. They only have so much grant money to give out, so the the earlier you fill it out the better.

I just applied to Cal State Northridge. We'll see how that goes. I'm not sure where else to apply. That's definitely my top choice. I'll probably apply to JMU as well. My parents want me to go there.
A few of you mentioned that you were applying to UVA. My brother is in his third year there and he hates it.

I'm thinking of transferring to JMU. Haha....I'd like to hear why he hates UVA, but I'd be willing to bet it's because all (no, most) of the people there are stuck up. The campus seems too crowded too!

I'm only a sophomore in HS, but I keep thinking about what colleges I want to go to lmao. All I know is that University of Maryland- College Park is like #1 even though I probably won't get in. I want to find out schools w/ good journalism programs that also aren't TOO far away. I don't really care about getting out of state, but I don't want to be insanely close to Westminster. I also just realized McDaniel College, which is like 5 minutes from my house, is a private college lmao. I've lived here all my life and never knew that.. haha...
How come you're thinking of transferring, Emily?

YES GO TERPS! ahha i'm applying there. don't worry about not getting in. they love in-state people.
SO, I have no idea where else to apply. I'll probably try UMD and JMU. I'd love to go to college in NYC, but I'm having trouble finding a good school that is affordable. It's so ironic that it would be cheaper for me to go to school in L.A. than NYC, when NYC is way closer. Any NYC suggestions?
I'm thinking of transferring for a few reasons....mainly because JMU has a much better art program than VT (which is what I'm majoring in). Of course, if I'm really concerned about that I should have just gone to Corcoran. But also, JMU is a lot closer to home (like, only 20-25 minutes away) and I've been pretty homesick this year. And JMU is a place I grew up with, I have a lot of friends there....I don't know, just weird reasons I guess.
