Alright Halloween is nearing. So does this mean anyone from here is planning to dress up? I'm just curious to see if anyone is going to wear a costume for Halloween. It should be fun, yes? If you have ideas or pictures of what you'll dressing up as, this is the place to post them! I figured it would be fun to get another interactive thread going on, haha.

What are everyone's plans? It's a bummer that it's on a Wednesday, right in the middle of the week. I'm going to a masquerade ball at a lounge in downtown. Should be fun. By the way, I'm going as a flapper. I've already got the boy hair going on anyway (unfortunately.) Score!

PS. Not sure if there is already a thread going on so I didn't see the harm in creating a new thread since nothing new is going on at THMB. But feel free to redirect me or lock this thread, if that's the case, Moderator. :]

Halloween is HUGE here! They have a huge party uptown where they close down all the streets and have bands play like one big party! They have it the Saturday before Halloween so we won't have to worry about missing any classes

I was going to go as Nurse Joy from Pokemon since all of my guy friends are dressing up as Pokemon characters (it's going to be hilarious I can already tell, their characters match their personalities WAY too well) However, finding a non-slutty nurse costume is well...impossible and the one I did find was $40 plus I would need a wig, shoes, and something to wear underneath it....and I am not really all for paying $70+ on a costume people probably won't even remember the next day....

Soooo I am going as a human twister game. Not all that original since you can buy it, but it's cute, non-slutty, and I can find ways to stay warm


But on the week of Halloween we are having a scary movie night at our dorm. The dorm I am in is kind of like a square with the middle cut out and in the middle is like a little courtyard, so they are going to get a huge projector and popcorn and cotton candy machines and we are all going to sit out and watch movies like a drive in. Plus we are having trick or treat and a door decorating contest in our dorm as well. I'm pretty darn excited

According to housing, we're going to decorate our dorms for Halloween and set up entertainment, since we're going to have kids from a shelter come trick and treat in our building and provide halloween entertainment. At least that's what they're hoping, I think it's a sweet idea.

Wow, that's cool! Haha. I've never seen those. That's awesome how everyone is so into it over there. Around the area I live, there aren't that many kids going trick-or-treating these days. Sad because neighborhoods used to be swarmed with children when I was younger! I guess parents aren't into the idea of getting candies from strangers, haha. I understand though. It isn't guaranteed to be a safe thing nowadays.

We're having underprivileged kids trick-or-treating in our dorms also. They were so adorable last year. But Halloween itself is gonna suck. I have a presentation due that afternoon, then I have a lab quiz/lab from 7-10 at night.

for Halloween me, two of my roommates, and two boys from across the hall are being spice girls. Then we have two other boys who are going to be eddie murphy and david beckham. but for the weekend before I am going to be something else, not sure what though

I'm dressing up as Sleeping Beauty and giving out candy. Bella is dressing up as a lady bug and my sister is taking her trick or treating and she's coming to my house once she get's done trick or treating.

we're going with the Wizard of Oz theme.

Rachel (bestie): Wicked Witch (she's actually just a regular witch, I let her get away with that b/c she's not a costume person)

it comes w/ the dress, hat and arm things. I got Silver heels and some silver vinyl to make leg things...

my friend kim was supposed to be the cowardly lion, but I think she may be going camping, punk, she knew we'd be doing something, we always do, why'd she schedule it that weekend??

anyway, we should have a good amount of people coming to the party so hopefully more will join in the theme...

I hope it's nice and cold on Halloween, Gilly. I wouldn't want you to get hot in ALL that fabric.

But yeah, like Gill said, I'm going as Glinda. I'm not really sure what I'm wearing yet, but I kinda want to go all out. My costumes the last few years have been pretty crappy and last minute. We shall seeee...

I have nowhere to go so no dressing up for me A bar here (well it's shut down now) use to do "Dead Celebrity Night" and that was pretty cool

I need a costume...i guess I should be working on that. I really want to go home because i love handing out the candy to the little kids. We usually get around 100 kids each halloween back home. Buttttt...it's a wednesday...so who knows...

im tryin to figure out what im gonna be too! its sooo difficult! im goin to a party so it has to be a good.. any ideas?

So I just convinced myself to go out the weekend before halloween since I can't go the actual day. I really don't want to get a costume though so my roommate came up with the idea of the "walk of shame". You basically wear guy's button down, boxers, and high heels. It's a pretty slutty costume and it's SO not me but it'd be the easiest thing.

hahahahhhahahhahha! that would be freakin hilarious! lol! I dont know how i would do the whole spikey hair thing though and i dont have a guitar. I could carry around a bag of Carls Jr. all night though! lol!

Well, you know what they said in the movie "Mean Girls," and I'm paraphrasing, Halloween is the one night a girl can wear anything without having the other girls call them names for it. Haha. So if this is your one night to be someone you're not, might as well go all in. As long as you're comfortable of course!
