Has anybody on here done that?I would love to do that plus that would look great on your resume but I could never convince my mom go to all the way to North Carolina to do that though.So if anybody has done it on here post what it was like.

I haven't done it yet, but I am probably going in September though since I live in NC. I can answer any questions because several of my friends have went. But basically you call the hotline and tell them the day you want to be an extra and see if you can. The day before they'll call you and let you know what time you should be ready and what to wear. It's fun..but its a lot of work. Sometimes you can be there from like 4pm til 5am! It can be the weirdest hours. You aren't allowed to talk to the cast unless they talk to you. And there's a lot of standing around. You get paid a small amount though, one of my friends said she got like $40. If you have any more questions, just ask.

that is soo cool, it kind of stinks tat you can't talk to the cast though

yeah it sucks you cant talk to the cast - but if they see how big of fan you or are something maybe they will be nice enough to talk to you for a second

See, the day the OTH cast was having a signign in NYC i happened to walk by the door the cast was using to leave the building. There were a lot of fans waiting there to meet them (since a lot of people didn't get to) Hilary and Tyler came out and signed a LOT of autographs and took pictures...the rest just walk on by and just ignored you when you talked to them. So i wouldn't get my hopes high about them talking to you (you can still see I am mad at them for that..lol)

Pretty much anyone can be an extra. And actually, they will talk to you sometimes. Several of my friends say that Sophia and James will talk a lot. But, its nothing personal if they dont talk to you, they're working and sometimes they don't want to. But they have all been super nice at the charity games.

I've heard like mixed reviews from people about Chad. Some people I've heard he's nice && others I heard he isn't that nice. Idk... I want to meet him really bad though!

I have a friend who used to be an extra. I haven't talked to him in a while so I'm not sure if he still does it. I actually talked to Tyler the night before he was going to start shooting his first episdde back in September, and told him about my friend, and he said to have him come say hi and to tell him that he knows me, but I'm not sure if he ever did. hmmm

I remember reading a post a while back about someone on here being an extra...that would be a fun experience!

I have heard mixed stories about Chad too, but usually what I hear is that he's unfriendly and doesn't talk on the set, but if you meet him at one of the charity games hes so nice and goofy. I completely understand that.. he's working and trying to get filming done and that's his focus - not meeting fans. At the charity games, the point of it is to meet and greet with the fans.

yeah, you can't really blame him...when you're working you're working. haha, I'd probably be kinda mean too, I'm not the type of person that likes to talk to people ALL the time.

In all fairness, showbiz isn't the business you go into if you don't like being around people all the time and being talked to all the time. It's a people business. I read the Teen People article about the OTH cast members and he just didn't come across as the nicest of guys - but he's Tyler's friend, so he can't be all that bad!

I really don't know what to think about Chad! Cause he talks about Sophia && he seems like he is the SWEETEST guy in the world (and how he acted at the Teen Choice Awards) and then during that House of Wax thing on MTV he seemed kinda mean, but he said something in a magazine about how that's how MTV portrayed him being an asshole or something idk.

I live in Wilmington and extra alot, what you do is call the casting agency, its not exactly a hotline. And they ask people not to talk to them or get autographs and thats understandable b/c they are working and its not the time to do so. But when I've worked between takes the cast talks to you and jokes around, it just depends where you are in relation to them in the scene. And all of them are real nice and sweet, even Chad.

I know a few people that extra. I heard chad has been nothing but nice to them. Stacey u might know them.. one of them extra all the time her name is Amber?

That's good to hear You just don't know what to think nowadays, media does such a good job of distorting everything and everyone! So,it's good to hear from someone who has real experience of actually seeing Chad interact with people.
