I know! Ngl, I'm excited too. I'm in SC right now and because I'm never seeing these people again, I'm gonna go to the release party. We're leaving in the morning, so I want to have something to read haha.

So! I finished Breaking Dawn and I think I'm pretty happy with it. Possibly a few things could have been done better but, nothings perfect. It was satisfying enough...even if a bit weird... I dunno if we can give any spoilers away but I'd like to chat about the book whenever the times good

Okay, I'm late but I'm just getting into Twilight! I have yet to read more than a chapter. I tried going into a bookstore and reading it but every time, I keep getting interrupted. I didn't know if I wanted to buy the books because I'm not sure if I'll like them enough to purchase them. I've been on hold with the library for weeks now just for the first book!!!

I got interested after I attended Comic Con and I got to see the trailer and sat through their panel with the actors/actresses.

I only skimmed through the posts that were made here because I was afraid there were spoilers, haha. I was walking on eggshells the entire summer because I started the Harry Potter series in May because everyone around me had read the HP series already. Yeah, I'm late with HP, too. Haha. I didn't get interested in it until a year after the series ended. I finished the series in July and luckily without the help of spoilers. That was a trip.

I've decided to purchase Twilight (the first book) at Borders even if it'll cost me $24 in store! I'm getting the hardcover. Who knows, maybe if I like it enough, I'll finally hang up my gigantic Twilight poster from Comic Con, too, haha.

i feel so behind on this train! i went to comic con this year and it was MADNESS the panel was massive and the cast was amazing and everyone strangers and friends alike were in love with the book (to be movie) I said I wasn't going to get sucked into it. I resisted. Until Sunday. Since Comic Con in July until Sunday I have ran into friends of friends, perfect strangers and random cashiers at Target who simply GUSH over this book. Rave reviews in the middle of checking my groceries. So I went to the library. Every single copy in Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Irvine is currently checked out, lost or stolen! I returned to Target on Sunday and purchased at $6 paperback and while checking out I was not surprised one bit to be greeted with "this is the best book ever! and it's an amazing purchase cause it's something you'll want to re-read again and again." Emmm okay, thanks. So I've heard. With full plans to return the book for a refund once I finished it in what I assumed would be a couple of weeks - well under the 30day limit.
It's Tuesday now and I am on Chapter 16. (for those who haven't looked it's only 24chapters long.) I can fly past 3 chapters in 30minutes with the vivid images Stephanie Meyers draws with her words. I can see Robert Pattison speaking so cryptically to a shy unsure Bella and I can't wait to see how the movie puts these images I have in my head onto the big screen. I will be in line Nov 21 for this film - bet on it.
(I'm only on Book1 and will NOT be reading spoilers simply because I don't have to wait like I did with HP - aw Cedric...but I can just go back to Target and grab Book 2 -4 and I'm NOT reading the leaked book 5 either!)

Haha yeah you'll see me there. Smile Btw, I've only read up to page 45! Up until today, I didn't own the book. I've been waiting in line for a copy at my library. I have about three other libraries putting them on hold for me as well but they're also checked out! Anyway, for the mean time, I've been going to my nearby Borders (about 5 minutes from my school) so I usually go there to read during my 30 min break, haha.

I wanted to buy the hard cover copy because I prefer hard covers but none of the stores had them at a reasonable price! Borders sold them for more than $20 and Wal-Mart and Target only had the last two books. So my sister ended up buying me the book for my birthday yesterday. Smile

Now I get to read for real. No more 5-10 pages nonsense during break. I get to read a solid chapter! Haha. I'm barely going to delve more into the Twilight series tonight.

I already have the other 3 books ready for check out at the library. I just need to finish with the first and then read on. Smile Rebecca, we should share our reactions one day, haha.

rumor has it the movie will be premiered OUTSIDE.
so maybe getting a ticket won't be a problem(?)
since this is what I'm getting about getting into the premier
quote:

"Frequently Asked Questions

I often get asked how one can get tickets to these premieres. The answer is, you can't. Generally speaking, the public can't get tickets to movie premieres. But the good news is that you really don't need them.

The seats inside the theatres during premieres are reserved for the stars, the film makers, their friends and family and whoever they choose to invite. The rest of us mere mortals usually have to settle for standing outside, watching the stars as they arrive in their limos, say a few words, wave, and walk the red carpet into the theatre. But that can actually be a lot of fun, and it doesn't require tickets. (And actually, you probably have a better view of the stars in the bright lights outside than you would if you were inside the dim theatre.)

true I went to a premier during comic con and the minute the lights went out no more hottie stars . and afterwards they were GONE so outside at least it's light out and you can probably get an autograph or something.

This book is definitely an easy read. I'm going through it like a breeze but it's a bittersweet thing, haha. I want it to last but at the same time I can't put the book down. Seriously though, Edward is an amazing character. "Boys in books are better." I read that online today somewhere and believe in that whole heartedly for the time being.

I'm trying to spread out my time reading this first book because I sped through all the entire Harry Potter series in a few weeks!

I want to make the best of my time with Edward, hahaha.

Holy crow, I haven' been on here in ages!

^That's a good idea. I finished the whole series in a month and now I'm re-reading the first book to see what I missed lol. It's like I'm reading it for the first time (sort of), I just know what's going to happen.

i think i said it already but i read twilight in four days. just couldn't stop myself. that saying about boys in books is a tshirt on cafepress - along with a ton of TEAM EDWARD and TEAM JACOB (I don't know I haven't read the others maybe I'll grow to like him) but they keep going. There are some on Zazzle.com too. I might have to invest in one or make my own for the premier Smile

I couldn't visit this thread in case I was going to land a spoiler during the last two books, haha. But I've been finished with the series for a while now.

As for the movie... I don't know. I really, really, want to watch it. But I'm not too keen on sitting in a room full of hormonal teenagers who are as fervent as sugared kiddies. I don't want to watch the movie while people are going to (inevitably) shout at the screen and add unneccessary noise, etc. I want to watch it on a weekend when there aren't as many. I don't mind waiting. I've waited all this time; I think I can wait a few extra weeks.

I'm going to watch Twilight in December. Hopefully by then, the craziness will have died down.
