Woo hoo! Me, too. I've always loved Anderson, haha. I'm glad someone else is in the same boat. Thanks for recommending the book. I'll def. check it out tomorrow, literally. :]

Anderson Cooper? really? haha...

George Clooney, yes. Brad Pitt, yes. Tom Cruise....I can still see that.

Anderson Cooper? He's alright, but not someone I'd dream about!!!

I just finished "The Tenth Circle" by Jodi Picoult and I was so impressed! At first I wasn't sure about it because some parts seemed a little ridiculous, but the deeper I got into it, the more I liked it.

Her twist at the end really got me (or maybe I just don't pay attention to detail...) and it really showed me how every scene she adds has some significance even if you don't think so at the time...

Pride and Prejudice is Austen's best. I love that book. Definitely read that - it's the easiest to follow and the most famous.

Right now I moved on to "The Namesake" I've heard good things about it, so hopefully it's good.

I love all Jane Austen books, but I love Emma the most, personally I think it is better than Pride & Prejudice. However in second it's a tie between P&P and Persuasion. I'm sorta an Austen fanatic.

I'm so excited I found out the next Secret Society Girl book comes out in June. Woot! If you guys have not read Secret Society Girl or Under the Rose you definitely should; they are fun to read. The author Diana Peterfreund is also really nice, she'll answer any of your questions on her blog. She answered mine! Smile

The Great Gatsby= Great
I am in love with "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by: Khaled Hosseini (not sure how to spell that)
I'm in the middle of reading "The Importance Of Being Kennedy" by Laurie Graham and "Macbeth" (for school). I'm planning on reading "The Catcher In The Rye" and "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg....

Let you know Smile

has anyone read "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch? It's an easy read, but witty and well worth it.

Well I'm currently reading Cranford and it's really good.

However I'm going to do another plug-in, one of my favorite books from childhood is celebrating it's 100th anniversary this year. If you haven't I highly suggest you read Anne of Green Gables, I believe it's enjoyable by all ages.

I gave "Sundays at Tiffanys" a try by James Patterson. A story about the possibility of your imaginary friend from childhood being the true love of your life. It was a good easy read. Good as in the story isn't hard to digest and sweet in all the right places. I read it all in one sitting last Sunday. My only beef is that I felt some things were left too vague about the character, Michael (the imaginary friend.)

^^ Great book! I recommend anything by James Patterson, especially his new book Sail. All his books are easy reads and they keep your attention the whole way through.

Another good 'beach read' is Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisberger...she wrote The Devil Wears Prada.

I just finished Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. I remember buying this book, but I can't find it ANYWHERE and today my library had it (which was odd because they NEVER have Sarah books available) so I checked it out!!

I also finished Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan the other day and it was a really quick, easy read.

I re-read Twilight, too and tbh it's not as addicting the second time around haha Frown The first time I read it, I did in a day but it took me a week to read it for the 2nd time.

I'm either giong to read The Luxe by Anna Godbersen or The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold next... still haven't decided...

If you don't know the story behind this book, Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give a 'Last Lecture' (Aka: a lecture about things he's learned to help inspire others). Soon after being asked to give this lecture he was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer...bringing a whole new meaning to the term 'The Last Lecture'. He died last week and I was reading an article about him yesterday and came across a video of him giving the 'Last Lecture'. It is an hour and some odd minutes long, but if you have the time it is definitely worth watching. He sounded like an amazing man, and he makes so many good points in the lecture. Here is a link to the video.
