Me too! I didn't really like him to begin with...and he definitely doesn't have the best voice out of the crew. But I started to like him and was actually a little dissappointed when he went home! I think Chikezie should have gone the first week...of course, only so Colton would have stuck around a little longer. Em and I are considering going home Sunday to go and see our local production of "The Wiz" b/c Colton directed it...which means it should be really good!

A few Danny fansites are banning together to get Danny back by calling that Idol hotline to express their opinions. SO, I'm pretty sure everyone here should too Big Grin
Even if you don't think Danny was the best contestant, I'm pretty sure we can all agree (or most of us) other people should've gone first.

haha, sorry....I have gotta disagree on this one....I thought danny should have gone the first week. actually, I didn't think he should have been in the top 24. He was rude and obnoxious....my opinion though.

I liked Danny...but I definitely think it was his time to go. There is no way he would have ever won the contest so it doesn't really matter if he was in the top 12. If anyone got the short end of the stick it was Colton...I think Danny should have gone before him. But, I'm not going to complain about that one either because I don't think Colton deserved to make the top 12 anyways.

I love love love David Archuleta. He's so adorable! I love his voice when he sang "Another Day in Paradise." I downloaded it off of iTunes and have been playing it on repeat.

There's this video on youtube of David singing to Kelly Clarkson and the American Idol season 1 contestants when he was really young. It's kinda cool. Look where he is now!

Big Grin I'm going to the american idol dress rehearsal tomorrow! it's cool that we got tickets for this week because it's top 12 (get to see everybody) and it's the same show we got tickets to last year.

it was sooo much fun! It was cool to go today because they have a new set, so now there is pit with people standing and they asked us to go in the front because we're young, lol. I like going to the rehearsals so much because ryan is so fun and likes to mess around a lot.

and i have to say, after seeing them live, i loooooove my boys this year Smile

edit: ahhh poor david archuletta! his lyrics were perfect during rehearsals...

i'm glad you had fun! Yeah....I that David A was HORRIBLE tonight! It really made him look bad! Top 3: Carly Smithson, then David Cook, then Brooke (last name? white?)

Ehhh...I'm just not a fan this year. Carly did well tonight. I agree with Em on the top 3 based on tonights performance.

...on another note...we are going to see Colton's production of The Wiz on Friday. He started directing the show 3 months ago, and apparantly is going to do an intermission show. Should be fun.

i'm not toooo worried about jason castro.....I think he'll stick around. I thought Simon was being awful saying that some of the songs were boring though! You do NOT say bad things about the Beatles!!! It's like the golden rule or something!

I didn't watch the whole show, but out of the performances I saw Jason was the best. Paula was right when she said he has emotional connections with his songs - you can just see it in his eyes...ahh those eyes! haha

I thought the show was boring too, and you know who would've lightened the mood? DANNY! haha..gosh I miss him Frown

On Friday, Emily and I went and saw the local production of "The Wiz" that Colton directed. The show was really good, and Colton did a little 4 song set at intermission. Let me tell you, that kid did NOT deserve to go home that early. I still don't think he would have won, but after hearing him on Friday, I'm pretty on the edge thinking he should have at least made it into the top 12. He sang Tears in Heaven (dedicated to his friend that had just passed), You Raise Me Up, Suspicious Minds (which he sang on the show...and apologized it if was too 'karaoke') and another song I can't remember. Suspicious Minds was (although still good) by far the worst song he sang that night. I really wish he would have gotten more airtime on the show and picked a different song the first night, because he is so good and definitely should have stuck around.

he also sang Sorry Seems to be the Saddest Word (I think that's the name of it...)

He was REALLY good! Definitely did not deserve to go. And Amy's right.....Suspicious Minds was BY FAR the worst song he sang! He has one of those voices that I just want to have singing me to sleep every night...haha. he was really friendly though, very thankful for everyone's support, and pretty humorous. He had the audience laughing every time he came out. He also made a very short cameo in the show, playing "uncle henry"....but no singing parts and only like one line. He also said he had some offers to be in some L.A. Broadway productions.....so hopefully this won't be the end of him!

So I have never ever been an American Idol watcher, but for some reason my brother & I watched the last episode (or whichever one they did the Beatles songs) and I am ob-sessed with Jason Castro. I bought If I Fell off of iTunes and its honestly been on repeat, I just think its so so gorgeous. I might be watching now for him, ha.
