I say you guys call radio-stations and get them to help promote. People did that in my hometown all the time, whenever Smash Mouth was coming in town... but then Smash Mouth was from my town, so that could be it too. Radio is very effective, I know a lot of people who say "I heard about this concert on the radio and I want to go."

And MK you're a journalism major right? So do you know if any of the LA or San Diego newspapers take outside editorial/commentaries? If so you could write one promoting Tyler.

Yeah, in high school I was usually in charge of publicity for the plays, and the radio stations were always eager to help out. You just call them and the DJ would always mention it and often leave a note for the next DJ. Then again, I live in a much smaller town and my dad was one of those DJs, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to call a few of the smaller stations(a little closer to the show though haha).

I have a good story about how much flyers DON'T work, but this post is already too long haha

yeah i tried to do that last time he had a show at the coach house. i emailed the djs from star 98.7, djs on KIIS FM, and a couple other stations, but none of them would let me do it. They told me they couldnt do shout-outs like that. I dont know, its weird, but i did try.

2006 = 265 Tickets Sold
2005 = 312 Tickets Sold

Taylor, yes, I am a journalism major. But most of the newspapers here in San Diego already have a layout of the stories they want to publish. They already have "back up" stories on reserve for fillers. I'm not sure they will print anything I will write regarding Tyler since it won't be in the San Diego district, if that makes sense.

I'll definitely try and asking the radio stations though. They seem to love me cause I'm constantly winning concert tickets from them. :P So it seems.

yay!! i am so excited about this show! its going to be a nice birthday weekend for me!

wow, my internet has been down and my parents are out of town so it isn't getting fixed anytime soon...but i'm really excited for this show , i feel so out of the loop though because i haven't been on in like 4 days

I called the Coach House and ordered my tickets and made the dinner reservations already! hahah I am so excited!

I got a voicemail from them on Friday morning and they said that tickets for Tyler's show were available for purchase. So I call later that day and the lady said, "I don't know who gave you that information, we aren't selling them yet. We barely got his confirmation today." It was weird. But anyway, four days later, I call and finally get my tickets + reservation. I definitely don't want to sit in "G" again, haha.

that's so weird, i called yesterday and they said tickets weren't going onsale until the end of the month. they need to get their info down so they can give out correct information

I agree. When I called on Friday to purchase tickets and they said they won't be on sale until a "few days." So I asked them to give me a call when they do go on sale because they didn't give me an exact date (I didn't want to purchase last minute like last year) so they asked for my number and everything. But then no call from the Coach House today. Instead, my good friend, Lexi, ends up sending me a text to inform me that tickets have indeed gone on sale!

It's okay. I guess they were just jumbled and whatnot. When I asked about Tyler's show, I said "Tyler Hilton," and they asked, "Paris Hilton?" I answered, "No relation," haha.

No worries, they barely started selling them. I believe I was the 4th one to purchase. Just remember how you were front and center last year for his set, haha. Keep that in mind till your parents arrive!

They said that they arrange the seating according to the timely order the purchases are made. So the sooner you get them, the closer you will be to the stage (so they have said). You are also placed near the person/group who made reservations before and after you (again, that's what they said.)

So in this case, Lexi, you were the 3rd reservation and I am the 4th. That means you and I will get to sit near each other this time. :] Hoorah.
