I attend Illinois State University, and Friday night I got a voicemail message from a friend that she had gotten a flier on the quad Thursday saying that Tyler was going to be performing on campus. She only got around to looking at it Friday night, and by that time, it was over.

What I'm talking about is this:

I only found this after some digging--I had no knowledge of this, or I would have gone. Apparently the only promotion was one person handing out fliers on the quad--on the day that over 300 student organizations were on the quad advertising. I didn't see it on the website, the Myspace, the Facebook, the street team, or anything like that.

The funny thing was that my Friday class, which ended shortly before 11, recently got moved and no longer requires me to walk through that very building. I walked past it twice, but didn't have any reason to go in because I didn't know that Tyler was going to be on campus until later that night when it was long over.

I was just curious why it wasn't listed on any of the sites, or if it was, if I missed it somewhere. I remember being upset that there were shows posted to many of the surrounding colleges and that I couldn't go, so it's incredibly ironic. I can't go to any of the upcoming nearby shows because I'll be in school.

So my questions are--was it posted somewhere (other than the school site) and I'm just out of the loop? Did anyone get to go? What was it like?
