Hmm, so that's a Thursday. My last final won't be until Dec 17. But on top of that, this might be a little harder to try and sell out since the base fans of Tyler's in that area are students (for the great majority.) It's okay, we'll still promote. Thanks for keeping us posted, Mr. B! -MK |

Just an FYI....a meet and greet isn't set in place for this one. Just because we did it last year, doesn't make it automatic for this year.
We should really try to find another way to get word out without NEEDING a meet and greet like that... |

Hopefully I can still go.

Of course! I emailed Mgmt and he mentioned that even with the great turn out last year, we didn't really come close to selling out. Which is unfortunate because we all thought Tyler packed the house. :[ And another thing, we really need an alternative way of promoting. Flyers is a great catalyst to inspire more promoting, but be realistic. You have about 50% (I'm not exact) chance of convincing someone with a flyer to either go to the show or not. It's a yes or no thing. Because think about it, how else can a flyer convince someone to change your mind? I'm just saying this as a fan (in general.) If someone kept handing me a flyer for the same musician, I wouldn't magically change my mind and go to the show. After being handed the flyer, I would already make my decision right then and there. For the most part my answer is a "No," and that's as far as it goes before I toss out the flyer I was handed. There really isn't an outside factor that would make you change your mind out of the blue to suddenly want to attend the show. I mean, that's cool if you use flyers to promote, but I'm just saying, it's all we've been doing (for the most part) and I guess it isn't enough to reach the ticket count goal. We can keep trying this way if you want. I don't know. It seems like the most effective thing we could do is word of mouth. But really, there isn't much else we can do to get higher sales. Hmm, well, maybe if every member of the California street team brought at least 3 people to the show. There are over 200 people signed up on the Cali team. So that's roughly around 600. I don't know what the Coach House capacity is, but I think that sounds like a good number for starters. It might not be possible to have every member of the team in attendance, but at least in that way, we could at least try and get more ticket sales in an effective way... These are just my thoughts. Don't shoot. -MK |
