Whats your secret Emily? lol Well, it was a different county that gave me the ticket. Hoover was the 1st one.. and Hoover cops are mean. The warning i got from Jefferson County and they are super nice guys. I bout cried when he flashed his lights at me. I was like are u kidden! and i was like can i please get a warning... and i had tears in my eyes and he was like yes ill give u a warning. so idk if cryin works but it did for me!

hahaha....my secret right now? GOING THE SPEED LIMIT! Wink
Well, I actually have the best speeding story ever...My city has a curfew for anyone under 18 for 12 pm...nobody follows it...except my parents (I was 16 at the time...). So, I was dating this guy, and he was at my house, but needed someone to take him home. So...I took him home at 11:15/11:30ish....well, let's just say we were in the car at his house for a while saying goodbye to each other (ahem...) and I didn't end up leaving his house til 11:50. My house was only a few minutes away though so it didn't really matter....but I didn't want mom to get worried....or to get her crazy mind wandering about what we were doing...so I wanted to get home quick = speeding (59 in 35 mph zone). So I usually take a back road off the main road to get home, but for some reason I decided to use the main road the whole way home this night because there were less turns and since it was late I wasn't going to get stuck at lights...mistake....I got clocked about a 8 blocks- a mile from my house on main street. I turned into my neighborhood (didn't notice the flashing lights), drove down my street (my house is 5 or 6 blocks down....didn't hear the sirens because of my music...) and when I finally did notice them, I was a block away from my house. So by this time there were 3 cop cars following me! They thought I was trying to run from them! So the officer came to the window, and said "Ma'am, were you running from me? Because I have 3 cars here with me because we thought you were..." and I can NEVER cry in a situation like this...so I tried to fake it. I told him no, that I just didn't see him. And then he asked me if I had been drinking (apparently I don't fake cry well under pressure...because I KNOW I do when I'm not under pressure Wink ). I told him I was nervous......blah blah, we did the whole exchange of info thing...so by the time he gave me my ticket it was like 12:10 am (after curfew!). So JUST as he was handing me the ticket and saying be good, don't speed, have a nice night and I'll see you in court.....guess who pulls up across the street? MY MOM! She got worried because I was running late and she heard sirens... So I was like, "oooooh officer...and this is my mother...." and he turned to her and said "Good evening ma'am...do you know what your daughter has been doing? She was running from us ma'aam." Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Well, at least it saved me the trouble of having to tell her again! They were pretty mad at me for the second one....but i've been pretty good ever since.

but yeah....best speeding story I've ever heard...can anyone top it?

Hahaha...that is THE best ticket story I think I've ever heard! I'm not trying to make light of it because I'm sure it wasn't fun for you at the time but wow!!! I have no idea what I would have done...lol! And to top it off, your mom was there to be a part of it all...hahaha...love it!

Wow...that is some run in with the law there. I am lucky and happy to say that I cannot top it and that somehow I have managed not to get a ticket yet! I can see it now as I am driving home tonight...I am gonna get pulled over for saying this...

ahhh...my friend was in the same situation....except he was just so close to his house when he realized that he just pulled into his drive way....the cop then went up to my friend's window and goes "what...do you think your house is the finish line?"

It's a lot funnier if you hear the voice he did it in too...I swear Smile

As a whole, I wasn't too impressed with the shopping in Nashville. We have much nicer malls and outlet stores in Michigan. However, I liked the specialty shops there to get "Nashville" apparel and goodies. The Mall at Green Hills is pretty nice and it's right down the road from the legendary Bluebird Cafe Smile
