Danneel Harris, who plays Rachel Gattina on "One Tree Hill" has just signed a contract to become a series regular, should the show get picked up for a fourth season.

"Basically, any kind of trouble that starts at school, I'm responsible for," Danneel tells the April 11th - 25th issue of ABC Soaps In Depth.

"She's the quintessential new girl who moves into town and uses deceit to take over everything, including the cheerleading squad."

The actress also thinks she's very good at being bad.

"I always seem to play the bad girl. I don't know why -- maybe it's because I'm better at it?" she laughs. "To me, it's fun because it's like therapy. You can say all these mean things to people and yell at them, and then you turn around, and it's like, 'Okay, I don't really have to be mean to you or put any more energy into hating you because it's not for real."

The only downside to the job is that the show tapes in North Carolina - away from her long-time boyfriend, actor Riley Smith.

"Yeah, totally. It's bad. But what's great about primetime is that you do have a long hiatus. I'll have from April to July to just be able to go home and relax," she says.

When asked about the finale, Danneel had this to offer:

"I can't say [much about what's ahead] because it's quite drastic," she teases, noting Rachel's new friendship with Mouth.

"It's going to be more of me being deceitful every week. I'm sure it'll blow up eventually in my face, which is where they're going with it."

He was the guy on the bike in New York Minute with the Olsen twins.

A lot of people hated Chris to and now we want him back. So maybe Rachel has some fans. I don't know what I just tried to say.

Yup, it was on Disney. I really love Disney movies; I'm going to be like 98 years old still watching Disney Movies drooling over some of the boys they pick...except I'll keep it to myself

Ha. I love watching those Disney movies too and always will probably.

The saddest thing ever is that I love to watch the Drake and Josh Show on Nick and then I will hear my 4,6 and 7 year old cousins talk about it too and how much they love it.. why did i just admit that? lol

I actually like Rachel's character despite what i had said about her in previous posts. Seeing her in the hostage situation and how much of a caring person she is...yeah...i'm definitly starting to see her as a good person.

I'm glad she got picked up as a regular...things are going to get interesting with her around now.

Start to get interesting??? They have been interesting since the day she came to town!!

I didn't really like Rachel that much but I guess if she's gonna make the show more interesting she can stay.

Oh that's who Riley Smith is!! I had a huge thing for him Motocross came out too! haha. I used to watch that movie over and over just to see him..

i like seeing Danneel on OTH! I like seeing her character stir up things haha. She does have her soft sides too
