Season three of "One Tree Hill" has been reduced from 26 episodes to 22. The reason of exactly why is not known at this time. I hope this doesn't mean that the ratings are suffering.... |

No way it can't be! That's why the WB moved it to an 8:00 slot, because a new show follows OTH now and they are counting on all of the OTH viewers to stay tuned for the new show too. That's why they moved it to 8 on Wed. cause it has a good following and if people watch it they will watch the new show. There are any number of reasons to cut shows. We shall see if they give a reason though!

That new show that is on after OTH, which is Related (a really good show btw) has now moved to Monday nights. They show repeats of Related on Wednesdays. I think it is hard for anything to compete with Lost...it is on at 9:00 on Wednesdays.

Well, it could be. This is their senior year. Dawsons Creek made the "after high school" thing work, but only for like 1 season. Maybe 2....

I think that they will have atleast one more season. This season is only the first half of their senior year...I would hope that they would let the show finish things off.

each semester of high school is a season, so this season is just there first semester of senior year and next season will be their last semester of high school like alicia said...they have made it an option to make the series go to college b/c they are using UNCW as the college not the high school like Dawsons Creek was, when Dawsons went to college they had to drive 2 hours to Duke to film there..so UNCW is set up to be the college for the Tree Hill students. Most shows do 22 or 23 episodes which is good, but last season OTH became real popular and ratings went up so they decided to go to 26 episodes this season, which is quite alot, but ratings have been down compared to last season so thats probabley why they cut back to 22...but i will see if i can get a definite answer....hope that was understandable...

Each seaosn isnt a semester its a year. The show started in shopmore year and the second season was junior year and now they are seniors. Thats why me and a lot of other people were wondering what was gonna happen next season. Are they just gonna spread senior year out into more than on season or go to college? The show isnt ending just becuase highschool is over. Mark even said that he hopes the show lasts for a long time and this wasnt going to be the last season. each season is a semester of school, they started in their junior year..and they set it up so they could be able to go to college, just cause they scaled back episode numbers does not mean they are going to cancel the show...

Yeah each season is a year. Its really bugging me cuz people keep saying that it started in junior year and it didnt. Not to be like all "I know everything" but I seriously know for a fact that it started in sophmore year. Its actually been bugging me for a while now because I cant remember where had read that they were sophmores or maybe it said it in the first season. I just know they were. I specifically remember when I watched the first episode ever that they were sophmores. But as far as I know Mark said that this wasnt the last season of the show. So unless it gets cancelled because of bad rating then nothings happening to the show. A way to make the ratings go up..If you have TIVO then tivo the show even if your watching it. yeah that would be so sad if it was, maybe its like because of breaks and stuff and like because OTH didn't take like some of the breaks that like The OC did and stuff so like they just don't have enough material or something.

If each season has been one year then why was there basketball in season 1, but no basketball in season 2??? I really think that each season is only half of a school year....
