I'm not going to stand by and watch a show as brilliant as One Tree Hill be cancelled. The executives of the new network have already guaranteed a slot for WWE Smackdown Live next season. Isn't it sad that garbage like that will survive while shows that have real substance are in jeopardy? It is definitely a dark commentary on our society. We, as the fans, must ban together to save this show: it is our only hope. Please help recruit others to our cause through the powerful use of your popular MySpace. Thank you.

I did all that last night. I just read an interview with Mark Schwahn and he said that he thinks the show has as good of a chance to make it to CW as any other show.

What didnt really settle me was that he said because he thought the show would make it he was going ahead like he would normally for the finale and writing cliffhangers....soo if the show DOESNT make it they leave us hanging forever

You know unfortunately, we can post a thousands bulletins on My Space and it what it all comes down to is ratings. It's a sucky time slot, and having to compete against shows like American Idol is not helping at all. So, let's just hope if it is cancelled it will be before they are done taping this season so we aren't left with too bad of a cliffhanger.

Actually Mark said something about it not being all about ratings. He said "Our ratings are down in terms of households," Mark admits. "But in terms of the demo that I believe the CW really cares about, we're as strong as anybody, and I really think our chances [for another year] are good. I would love the opportunity to continue. The next season would be the second half of senior year, and I think those are the best stories to tell." And here's the kicker: "I'll say this: I'm writing cliffhangers, because I firmly believe we're coming back. If we don't come back, it'll be disappointing. But we're gonna approach the finale like we always do, which is to leave the audience wanting more, because we wanna come back and give them more."


So that sucks cuz if were left wanting more and then there is no more. Were screwed.

I think the more we "spread" the information/knowledge...the better it can help OTH...in the long run promoting the possible "cancellation" cannot hurt it. If there is more knowledge like this out there...then more people might tune in. So if try to get more people to watch the new episode this week!

Some of the shows are cancelled as early in March, so if they get cut then - do you think he will still leave a cliffhanger knowing it won't come back? Mark sounds very optimistic about OTH's future, but he has to be - it's his job on the line!! I love the show and would love to see the rest of senior year, but unfortunately a lot of the networks are moving away from the "teen" shows to more "adult" shows.

Ugh.. I did this petition and that petition but I doubt it will sway anybody. I just hope they don't cancel it. It's what I look foward to every Wednesday night. Without One Tree Hill the week would be longg and no show could possibly replace it. The only reason that the ratings are down is because of American Idol being on at the same time. If they ended it after this I would be so p-o'd. i think we should hold a rally. (jk guys..unless you really want to )

But yea. I hope they don't get rid of it but honestly (nobody get mad and write angry comments.. it's just MY opinion)I would much rather Watch OTH then Veronica Mars anyday.

No matter when they end it I am going to be sad but they can't just rap it up quick and say Adios to all of us fans!

I just want to know why they are starting new shows soon Like: The Bedford Diaries of W/e it is if they are probably just gonna cancel them once the two channels merge?

there will be a lot of angry fans if they cancel OTH. its the only show i watch religiously. lol

The WB is changing around all their shows. Everwood is coming back MONDAY March 27 (9pm) and Supernatural is moving to Thursdays. I use to watch Everwood but its gonna be almost 4 months that its been off b4 it comes back... how are they ever gonna get anyone to watch it now... who remembers anything.

I think its stupid that they are adding new shows if they are getting rid of the WB.

ya know, i'm just as much of a OTH freak as the next person. But i get a little annoyed with their million hiatus'. It was on thing during thanksgiving, and kinda understandable during x-mas. but it keeps happening. i know i myself get into the routine or watching it and then when its not on for so long that becomes my new routine. and then BAM! i miss an episode.
i'm mainly just ranting because thet took a hiatus right after the school shooting episode and i think that was dumb. but eh, thats just me.

Right there^^ is what bugs me. One Tree Hill has come out on top and has beat all other shows by a landslide in EVERY poll but articles are still saying it doesnt ahve a great chance. Im sorry but this show is WAY better than everwood is right now and supposedly thats got a better chance of making it.
